Chapter 22 - ALESSIO AS A WITNESS

The defense subpoenaed my brother.
Of course.
Theory:
Alessio intimidated witnesses.
Controlled club security.
Removed Trent’s pin before investigation.
Wanted Trent out.
Some facts supported parts.
Alessio did remove the pin instantly.
He did hate Trent.
He did command loyalty in the room.
Could that influence family witnesses?
Potentially.
The prosecution handled that weakness directly.
Club video was preserved automatically by a third-party security vendor.
Police obtained its own copy.
Hallway audio came from the vendor archive.
Bodyguards gave separate statements.
Some differences existed.
Good.
No rehearsed perfect story.
Alessio told the prosecutor:
“If you put me on a stand, they will ask whether people fear me.”
“What will you say?”
“Yes.
“At least you’re prepared.”
He almost smiled.
Then:
“I wish I had known.”
About me.
I said:
“You knew your family culture.”
He looked away.
May you like
Not the same as knowing my marriage.
Still connected.
