Trent’s employment suspension happened the next morning.
Not because Alessio personally fired him.
Grimaldi Protective Services had an independent compliance committee precisely because licensed security employees carried legal responsibilities that could not depend on family mood.
The committee reviewed:
Police report.
Club security footage.
Internal stair incident note.
My medical record with my authorization.
The pending domestic-assault allegation.
Decision:
Paid administrative suspension pending investigation.
Firearm authorization under company employment suspended.
Building access revoked except counsel-arranged retrieval.
No guilt finding.
No public statement.
The promotion vote canceled.
Trent called it:
“Alessio burying me.”
The committee chair was a retired federal magistrate who had never attended a Grimaldi dinner.
That made the accusation difficult.
Then family pin.
Different.
Alessio had already removed it.
The pin was not employment.
Not ownership.
Not a legal license.
It represented invitation into private family councils.
Gone.
Trent cared more about that than salary.
