Chapter 24 - THE OLD VIDEO
At forty-five, I received notice that duplicate investigative copies of Donna’s kennel video could be destroyed after retention requirements ended.
Official records remained where legally required.
Our family copy sat on an encrypted drive.
I asked Donna.
“Delete it.”
“You’re sure?”
“I know what happened.”
“Do you want any part?”
“No.”
We deleted the family duplicate.
No final viewing.
No dramatic ceremony.
Donna drank tea while I did it.
Then asked:
“Did it work?”
“Yes.”
“Good.”
