Chapter 20 - CLAUDIA APOLOGIZES WITHOUT ASKING FOR ACCESS

Her first apology letter was bad.
I did not give it to Isolde.
It said:
I never meant for you to be hurt.
Too focused on intent.
Second:
I should have told Grandma no when she moved your things.
Better.
I should not have taken your room.
I knew your leg made that room easier for you.
I wanted it anyway.
That was selfish.
I also knew Grandma was talking about sending you away for rehab even though your doctor had not said you needed it.
I did not stop her.
You do not have to forgive me or see me.
Good.
Dr. Nora, Isolde’s therapist, read it with her.
Isolde asked:
“Can I keep?”
May you like
Yes.
No reply required.
