Chapter 15 - LORETTA FILES FOR THE HOUSE

Loretta sued for occupancy rights.

Not ownership of the entire estate.

Her lawyer argued the decades-long arrangement and written license gave her enforceable residential protections.

She also argued my immediate removal after the dinner violated notice provisions.

My attorney argued safety circumstances justified emergency exclusion.

The court did not simply hand me victory because title had my name.

It issued temporary orders.

Loretta could not enter while the protective order involving Isolde remained.

Her personal property could be retrieved through supervised access.

The underlying occupancy dispute would proceed separately.

Good.

No castle eviction by gesture alone.

My sentence—

I took your house—

had been emotionally satisfying.

The law was slower.

As it should be.
