The first guardianship was legitimate.
Kara signed.
She was hospitalized.
Dennis was legal father.
Marlene provided day-to-day care.
Then Dennis petitioned for extension.
Notice sent to Kara’s treatment address.
Returned:
Patient discharged.
No forwarding.
Dennis filed an affidavit:
Mother whereabouts unknown.
No contact for ninety-two days.
Kara’s phone records later showed eleven calls to Dennis during that period.
Why no answer?
He changed numbers.
She emailed.
Messages bounced from an account he closed.
She contacted Trisha.
Trisha had blocked her after believing Kara stole jewelry before leaving years earlier.
