Chapter 22 - PATRICIA’S DEFENSE

Patricia never called herself cruel.
She called herself practical.
Her attorney argued:
Max was an unlicensed puppy still in training.
Emily had become excessively attached.
Patricia believed removing the animal was necessary.
The method was criminally misguided but not connected to financial fraud.
Then prosecutors showed her handwritten planning note.
