The Marlow estate removed the fire pit.
I assumed Eudora ordered it.
She had not.
Daniel did.
Tessa became furious.
“Put it back.”
He stared.
“What?”

“Why?”
“Because I’m not teaching myself that stone circle caused this.”
Daniel looked at me.

The fire pit was reinstalled after safety inspection.
Now with a fitted cover for events involving small children.

The first time Tessa returned to the garden for legal walkthrough purposes, she stopped twenty feet from it.
