Chapter 14 - BRIelle LOSES HER ROLE WITHOUT LOSING HER LIFE

Brielle served on the board of Marlow Arts Foundation.
She also worked part-time as brand director for the family hotel company.
Some Greco relatives wanted me to make sure she lost both.
I did not own either institution.
That did not stop several people from offering.
“Pressure the sponsors.”
“Tell the hotels no Greco events.”
“Make her unemployable.”
I almost listened.
Then remembered the $186,000 payment I had nearly frozen in another family fight years earlier.
Different story.
Same disease.
Brielle’s board independently reviewed the baby-shower video.
They placed her on leave because blocking a mother attempting to reach an infant during a dangerous act raised obvious conduct concerns.
Later she resigned.
Her employment at Marlow Hotels underwent separate review.
No evidence she misused company funds.
No reason to confiscate salary.
She remained employed in a reduced nonpublic role pending case outcome.
Accountability.
Not annihilation.
Tessa noticed.
“You’re being restrained.”
“I’m trying.”
May you like
“Keep trying.”
I did.
