Chapter 21 - OWEN’S BOUNDARY
Owen did not seek sole custody of Cerys.
That surprised relatives.
He said:
“Cerys loves her mother.”
Good.
He did seek modifications.
No discussing Eluned litigation with Cerys.
No asking Cerys to defend Morgause.
No using chores, food, or gifts as punishment tied to adult family disputes.
A parenting coordinator for six months.
Morgause agreed to most.
No need giant custody battle.
Then one issue:
Cerys told her counselor she felt responsible for “making Mom jealous.”
That frightened Owen.
Children personalize adult comparison.
Morgause, to her credit, responded appropriately in counseling.
She told Cerys:
“You did not make me do anything to Eluned.”
Good.
Then Cerys asked:
“Did I get too much?”
Morgause said:
“No child gets blamed for what adults give them.”
That line reached me through Owen because it was relevant to co-parenting.
