Chapter 18 - THE PROTECTIVE ORDER

The temporary no-contact order for Eluned came up for review.

Morgause opposed extending it.

Her argument:

The immediate event was isolated physically.

She had complied since.

She had started counseling.

Eluned still wanted a relationship with Cerys.

A broad order complicated family gatherings.

All true.

Our argument:

The glasses incident was an escalation of a documented pattern.

Food delay.

Removal of glasses before.

Personal chores.

Servant language.

Grandfather’s warning.

Morgause’s promise.

Concealment of letter.

Then her request that Cerys write a statement.

Poor boundaries remained.

Dr. Corinne recommended no direct contact yet.

The court extended protective conditions six months.

No direct contact with Eluned.

No messages through Cerys.

No attending events where Eluned is expected without prior arrangement.

Could future therapeutic contact happen?

Yes.

Not automatic.

Review later.

Good.

No permanent exile declared from one hearing.

Then Morgause asked outside court:

“How long do you plan to punish me?”

I answered:

“This is not mine alone. Eluned’s therapist is involved.”

“That is not an answer.”

“No.”

I walked away.
