She asked:

“Grandma court?”

“Yes.”

“Do I go?”

“Probably not.”

“Good.”

Then:

“Will she go jail?”

“I don’t know.”

“Do you want?”

I thought.

“No.”

She looked confused.

“Then court why?”

“To decide legal consequences.”

“Can she say sorry?”

“Yes.”

“That easier.”

Sometimes.

Then Marjorie offered plea:

Misdemeanor false document.

Misdemeanor discipline.

Dismiss felony/attempt.

Prosecutor declined.

Then state offered:

Felony forgery.

Dismiss attempted custodial interference and child endangerment count.

Probation recommendation plus short home detention.
