Marjorie:
Substantiated inappropriate physical/emotional discipline.
Substantiated use of sleeping location as punishment.
Substantiated excessive chores causing minor skin irritation.
Substantiated emotional maltreatment through statements that father needed distance and home/bedroom depended on behavior.
Travel matter referred to law enforcement.
Vaughn:
Concern for failure to intervene after observing inappropriate chores and one disclosed hallway-sleep incident.
Not substantiated as direct perpetrator under agency definitions because he did not direct plan and later acted protectively.
Me:
No maltreatment finding.
Concern regarding physical retaliation against Marjorie.
Protective response after discovery recognized.
No removal.
Ione stayed with me.
Then my house repairs finished.
We moved home.
First night, Ione stood in her bedroom doorway.
“Mine?”
“Yes.”
“Even messy?”
“Yes.”
“Even if I don’t wipe bathroom?”
“Yes.”
She narrowed eyes.
“Do I have to clean anything?”
Nice try.
“Yes. Toys. Dishes. Normal chores.”
She smiled.
Rules could survive without threatening belonging.
