His forensic interview.
Tablet metadata.
Adult admissions.
Security footage.
Texts.
Enough for most issues.
Margaret’s defense challenged one critical statement.
The judge allowed a limited recorded child interview under applicable rules rather than live testimony for that point.
Connor attended no courtroom.
Good.
He had already carried enough.
At thirteen, he asked me:
“Did the video matter?”
“Yes.”
“Would they have believed Grace without it?”
I answered carefully.
“They should have investigated.”
“That’s not what I asked.”
Smart kid.
“It made facts easier to prove.”
He nodded.
“That sucks.”
“Yes.”
Children should be believed enough to investigate.
