Chapter 8 - THE FORGED EMAIL
A forensic specialist examined Sarah’s old email account.
The message to Dad had not originated from the account.
It was a fabricated printout and forwarded PDF.
Metadata pointed to a document created on my father’s home computer.
Not proof Dad personally typed every word.
Strong evidence the file originated inside their house.
When Martin confronted Dad through counsel, Dad said:
“Diane prepared family records.”
Mom’s attorney responded:
“Richard controlled trust communications.”
They began dividing responsibility.
Good.
Truth often appears when allies start calculating sentences separately.
The trust suspended consideration of Noah’s eligibility challenge.
A DNA test was not immediately required because I was Noah’s legal father and birth records established paternity.
Still, for trust purposes after a formal fraud allegation, independent counsel recommended testing if Sarah and I consented.
We did.
Noah did not need to know every detail.
We explained:
“Grandpa’s old paperwork needs a cheek swab to confirm family records.”
He asked:
“Does it hurt?”
“No.”
“Can Teddy do one?”
The technician smiled.
“No DNA needed from Teddy.”
