Chapter 23 - The Order

Final custody order:
Primary school-week residence with me.
Stellan:
Alternating weekends from Friday after school to Sunday evening.
One midweek dinner.
After six months of compliance, one additional overnight every other week could begin upon therapist confirmation.
Joint legal custody restored generally, but I held tie-breaking authority on medical and mental-health matters for eighteen months.
No unilateral discipline programs.
No withholding regular meals as punishment.
No Agatha unsupervised contact.
Agatha could have brief supervised grandparent contact only if Benson wished and therapist recommended.
Both parents:
No litigation discussion.
No disparaging other parent/grandparent to Benson.
Use parenting communication app.
That was it.
No “winner.”
Divorce property settlement finalized separately.
House sold? Our renovated house. We could keep? Maybe I bought Stellan's share? Let's set:
I refinanced and bought out his equity.
He bought townhouse nearby.
No alimony due both incomes.
Retirement divided appropriately.
No family trust.
No secret wealth.
Normal.
Then my marriage ended.
Seven years.
One child.
Boxes.
Signatures.
Silence.
I cried after decree.

Not because wrong.
Because finality still hurts when correct.
