The active recording began three minutes before I entered.
Judith on camera.
Meadow seated.
Hair already partially cut.
Meadow crying.
Judith:
“Stop moving.”
Meadow:
“I want Mom.”
Judith:
“Your mother is exactly why you’re like this.”
Then Dustin enters frame.
Meadow:
“Daddy, please.”
Dustin:
“Sit still.”
“Daddy—”
“Grandma knows best.”
There.
The line.
Then he walks out.
Judith continues.
A minute later she notices my car through window.
She moves the phone.
Angles it toward door.
