A damaged recording recovered from the old phone changed the timeline.
Margaret:
“What if it’s a boy?”
Daniel:
“It isn’t.”
Margaret:
“You checked, didn’t you?”
Silence.
Daniel:
“It doesn’t matter.”
Margaret:
“Then what is this about?”
Daniel:
“By September, Hannah isn’t coming with us.”
Margaret:
“You’re leaving her?”
Daniel:
“If she breaks, court is easy.”

“And the baby?”
Daniel:
“She keeps it.”
He had planned to separate siblings.
My unborn child with me.
