Diana chaired their annual women’s luncheon.
After the video circulated through legal channels and internal governance, the board asked her to step down temporarily.
She refused.

My relatives celebrated as if a monarchy had fallen.
I did not.

Her family-company shares.
Her social relationships.
Her pearls.
Her right to see Nathan.
What she lost was a role requiring judgment over volunteers and public events.

Lucio wanted every Castellani venue to reject Croft bookings.
I told him:
“No.”
“Why protect them?”
“I’m not.”
“Then?”
“Diana shoved me. The Croft wedding planners did not.”
He said:
“You are inconveniently reasonable when it hurts me.”
