Some raised privacy questions depending circumstances.
None became the central criminal charge.
The moral problem was simpler.
He used selective recordings to create a narrative.
The legal system did not need to criminalize every unpleasant habit.
The prosecutor focused on:
The shove.
The location.
Natalie’s pregnancy.
The risk created.
The recorded statement afterward.
Potential witness-related conduct if he actually fabricated a report.
He had not yet filed a false police complaint accusing Natalie.
His threat:
“I’ll tell everyone she attacked me!”
was ugly.
Not the same as actually making a false sworn statement.
Precision again.
