Chapter 18 - THE CAMERA FROM THE GARAGE
A second camera changed everything.
Backyard angle showed the strike.
Garage camera captured Tyler twenty minutes earlier talking with Richard.
No audio at first.
Then technician recovered partial audio from synchronized doorbell system.
Tyler:
“He always goes after that ball.”
Richard:
“What are you doing?”
Tyler:
“Proving a point.”
Richard:
“Don’t be stupid.”
Tyler:
“He needs to learn.”
Richard:
“I said document. That’s it.”
Richard walked away.
That saved him from a worse interpretation.
It also condemned his earlier behavior.
He saw Tyler escalating.
He did not warn me.
Did not remove the rod.
Did not move the ball.
