Alder Bridge should have required direct contact with the expectant parent once prenatal preservation became possible.

Direct notice to branch representative.
Independent medical verification channel.
No family steward can intercept.
Household residence irrelevant.
No spouse can waive future descendant protections.
Then the trust itself modernized.
My father’s sixteen-week threshold remained.
But the board added clearer language:
Pregnancy preservation is administrative only.
No person before live birth is treated as vested beneficiary.
No parent gains direct governance.
No publicity without consent.
Good.
Then family governance block.
Thirty-four percent remained for now.
Independent advisers questioned whether that was too much protected voting power as the company grew.
A future review scheduled.
No rush.
Then Carillon closing approached.
Eugenia still in custody/probation transition.
Her company participated through professional management.
No special access.
Then my father’s letter surfaced during archives.
