Torin was not charged with assault.
He did not touch me.

Haven-related forms.
He knew I had not received complete disclosure.
He knew Delphine wanted my signature before birth.
He knew he would benefit financially.
He did not forge my name.
He did not create the capacity memo.
He did not intercept trustee mail.
He did not tell Delphine to drag me.
Evidence mattered.
Prosecutors offered a plea on a limited false-certification and attempted beneficiary-interference count tied to the trust process.
He accepted.
His statement:
“I knew my wife had not been given enough information to consent. I signed anyway because I feared conflict with my mother and because I stood to benefit from the transaction.”
No passive voice.
Good.
Sentence:
Probation.
Restitution tied to certain legal costs and improper benefits.
No family fiduciary role.
Three-year prohibition on holding corporate positions involving protected related-party approvals.
He resigned from Sutton Senior Living before the sale review ended.
He found work later at an unrelated healthcare logistics company.
Lower title.
No Sutton surname opening doors.
He did well.
Our marriage?
I filed for divorce when Iris was three months old.
Torin did not contest.
At mediation he asked:
“Is there anything I can do?”
“To stop the divorce?”
“Yes.”
“No.”
He cried.
I did too.
“Do you hate me?”
“No.”
That hurt him more.
“I love you,” he said.

“Then why?”
“Because love did not make you safe when your mother needed you to choose.”
He nodded.
No argument.
We divided marital assets.

His lawful Sutton interests remained his.
Iris’s protected branch stayed separate under independent fiduciaries.
Custody grew gradually.
Supervised visits first.
Then unsupervised daytime parenting.
Then overnights after professionals and court were satisfied.
Not punishment forever.
Torin was not dangerous to Iris in ordinary care.
He was dangerously compliant inside Delphine’s system.
Remove that system.

By Iris’s second birthday, she spent regular weekends with him.
