He did not withdraw his request for parenting time.
That became the next problem.

He had not physically harmed Harper.
He had handled her appropriately during supervised visits.
The evaluator recommended continued supervision pending psychological assessment and criminal review.
I wanted no contact.
The judge did not grant my anger as law.
Good.

Both.
Ethan underwent evaluation.
No major mental illness.
Strong conflict avoidance.
High dependence on maternal approval.
Financial risk-taking.
Tendency to rationalize ethically questionable acts when framed as family survival.
Not a diagnosis of evil.
Just a man.
That made everything harder.
At one supervised visit, Harper slept against his chest for forty minutes.
He cried silently.
The supervisor documented:
Father appears bonded and appropriately responsive.
Then:
Father asked supervisor whether Maya could reconsider “destroying the company.” Redirected away from litigation discussion.
Same man.
Loving baby.
Still using her as leverage.
Visits remained supervised.
The criminal investigation focused first on false court filings.
Ethan had signed a sworn petition stating:
I believe Maya presents an immediate physical danger to Harper.
His deposition admission contradicted that.
His lawyer argued “danger” included escalating future risk.
Possible.
A prosecutor would decide intent.
Victoria’s exposure was broader.
She planned the provocation.
Ordered the collar.
Directed the camera.
Withheld trust mail.
Requested altered psychiatric summaries.
Her attorneys called it defensive family governance.
I stopped reading public statements.
Micah? no.
Harper did not need my cortisol in her milk.
I learned to put the phone away.
The independent Vance board sold two Redstone assets.
Losses.
Not collapse.
The refinance shrank from $163 million to $91 million.
No Harper collateral.
Different lender.
Higher interest.
Manageable.
Ethan’s personal guarantee remained partly exposed.
Victoria’s too.
Consequences.
Not revenge.
Then the audit found one transaction worse than the rest.
A $12 million payment from Vance Heritage to Victoria’s foundation labeled:
Legacy preservation grant.
The foundation then loaned $7 million to Redstone.
Circular.
The family company funded a charity that funded a family investment.
Maybe lawful if disclosed.
It had not been.
