Chapter 24 - AVA LEARNS THE TRUST

At twenty-five, Ava received beneficiary education.

Not ownership.

The trust showed her:

Property.

Income.

Restrictions.

Anti-coercion clause.

History.

She read Ryan’s case.

My police report.

Linda’s plea.

Emily’s suspension.

Then Frank’s note about the chair.

She laughed.

“Grandpa Frank was savage.”

“He was annoying.”

“Same.”

Ava asked:

“Could I ever sell this place?”

“Not alone.”

“Good.”

“Why?”

“Because I’m impulsive.”

Honesty.

Noah, twenty-seven, declined governance participation initially.

“I don’t want family real estate to become my personality.”

Also good.

The next generation did not need to worship property simply because previous generations fought over it.
