Chapter 26 - ANNA’S THIRTIETH BIRTHDAY

Anna turned thirty.

We threw a party by a lake.

Not Halcyon.

Municipal park.

She worked as a physical therapist.

No engineering dynasty.

No trust countdown.

The old Minton trust had been restructured decades earlier.

Her birthday activated nothing.

No transfer.

No audit.

No secret notary.

Just cake.

Helen attended at ninety.

Kristin was fifty-six.

I was fifty-nine.

Anna raised a glass.

“I’d like to thank my parents for never making my birthdays legally significant.”

Everyone laughed except Helen, who asked me to explain later.

Anna received modest trust distributions from family assets.

Not control.

If she wanted governance roles, she would apply under the same qualifications as other family representatives.

She never did.

“Meetings sound terrible.”

Correct.
