Chapter 26 - THE LAST PROPERTY

Years later, Ben and Karen decided to dissolve Westbridge.
Not because the family failed.
Because the structure had served its purpose.
The remaining assets:
One townhouse.
Commercial dental property.
Cash reserves.
Professional valuation showed selling made sense.
No need to preserve a family LLC forever merely because George created it.
Both properties sold.
Taxes paid.
Debt cleared.
Net proceeds distributed according to adult ownership and protected beneficiary accounting.
Ella’s beneficiary assets remained in her own diversified trust.
Tyler’s in his.
Ben and Karen received their lawful shares.
No one became fabulously rich overnight.
They became financially comfortable.
More importantly, nobody depended on one relative explaining who owned what.
The LLC closed.
Final filing.
WESTBRIDGE HOLDINGS LLC — DISSOLVED.
Ben stared at the certificate.
“That’s it?”
“That’s it.”
“I thought I’d feel sad.”
“Do you?”
“Relieved.”
Karen felt the same.
George built properties to support his family.
He had never instructed them to worship the structure.
