Professional Westbridge management handled everything else.
No passwords.
No bank authority.
No tenant control.

Joined a church book group.
Saw Karen more than Ben.
Ella visited occasionally.
Tyler more often.

“Tyler can have it.”
Diane froze.
Tyler groaned.

Everyone laughed.
Even Diane.
The first slice went to whoever reached fastest.
Ella.

Food and medals stopped being rank.

Diane asked whether she could display one of Ella’s old medals in the house.
Ella said no.
“Why?”
“They’re mine.”
Diane nodded.
“Okay.”
