Chapter 22 - GRANT VALE AFTER PRISON

Grant completed his sentence and supervision before Isabella.
He requested no family reunion.
He worked in a warehouse after losing financial licenses.
Years later, an investigative journalist asked Ethan whether Grant deserved another chance.
Ethan answered:
“At life? Yes. At controlling trust money? No.”
Excellent distinction.
Grant paid restitution for years.
Vale Consulting disappeared.
Some employees formed their own preservation firm and bought lawful equipment from the receivership.
Nobody banned them because their former boss committed fraud.
Institutions and people could separate.
Isabella’s release came later.
She remained barred from fiduciary work.
No contact with Ethan without his consent.
By then he was twenty-eight.
She requested one mediated meeting.

He said no.
At thirty, he changed his mind.
