Not as William’s residence.
Not Isabella’s.
The residence trust had multiple purposes.

Charitable events.
Foundation programming.
Hawthorne proposed keeping some family bedrooms.
Ethan refused to sleep there.
No one forced him.
The hidden room was another question.
Some trustees wanted it preserved as historical architecture.
William wanted it demolished.
I wanted the door removed.
Maya Chen asked:

He was seven.

So architects opened the wall permanently.
The concealed panel disappeared.
The cavity became a shallow reading alcove with no door.
Bright lighting.

No story about Ethan.
Visitors would never know.
That was his choice.
The old kennel bowl stayed in police evidence until appeals ended.

The painting of William’s grandfather moved to archive storage.
