Chapter 22 - VANESSA GETS TIRED OF BEING THE VILLAIN

Vanessa’s relationship with Richard ended before our divorce did.
Not because she found ethics.
Because Richard blamed her for uploading the video.
“If you hadn’t posted it, nobody would care.”
That sentence appeared in their texts.
Vanessa replied:
You put her face in a cake.
Richard:
You made it viral.
Vanessa:
You’re insane.
Interesting threshold.
Vanessa later apologized to me through counsel.
Not beautifully.
I filmed you because I liked seeing you humiliated. I thought Richard would leave you and pick me. When everything exploded, I realized he needed somebody else to blame. I’m sorry.
I believed the first two sentences most.
She settled my civil privacy and harassment claim modestly.
Most birthday footage occurred at a private event where recording itself was not necessarily unlawful.
Her malicious posting and captions created separate issues.
We settled without trial.
She removed monetized copies.
Could not erase the internet.
No one can.
She testified accurately in custody proceedings.
Then left our lives.
No grand punishment.
No friendship.
Richard accused me of buying her.
The settlement records showed the opposite.
May you like
She paid.
Facts remained stubborn.
