Taxes.
Voting rights.
Liquidity.
Risk.
He stared at the valuation.
“That’s a lot.”
“Yes.”
“Can Mom use it?”
“No.”
“Can Drew?”
“No.”
“Can I buy a Ferrari?”
“Eventually you can make many bad decisions with your own money.”
William laughed.
I did too.
Then the adviser said:
“The important question is not what you can buy. It is what control you want.”
William answered:
“Less.”
Smart boy.
He authorized gradual diversification when legally permitted.
