I requested temporary protection from both Dorinda and Preston.
Different grounds.
Dorinda:
Physical assault with an object.
Threat.
Preston:
Blocking exit.
Attempting to seize phone.
Messages afterward.
Financial deception.
No claim he had previously beaten me.
He had not.
No claim he held me prisoner for hours.
He did not.
The temporary order required:
No direct contact except through counsel.
No approaching my residence.
No interference with prenatal care.
No controlling access to my accounts or documents.
No entry into my design studio.
Preston requested access to medical updates concerning the baby.
Complicated.
He was still the father.
My obstetric records were mine.
Information about fetal health involved his future child but not automatic unlimited access to my private medical data.
We negotiated.
I would provide material updates relevant to the baby through counsel.
Appointment attendance only if I invited him or later court process addressed it.
He was not banned from fatherhood because he blocked a door.
