Chapter 22 - MY OWN REPORT

My diversion closed after I completed anger management and restitution.

Dana Ruiz gave no certificate with inspirational quote.

Just paperwork.

At the final session she asked:

“What have you changed?”

“Security protocols.”

“That’s not anger.”

“Board structure.”

“Not anger.”

I almost left.

Then:

“I stop before I decide another person needs to feel what I feel.”

She nodded.

“Example?”

“When Beatrice’s lawyer sent the first apology, I wanted to send it to every director and relative to prove she had learned nothing.”

“Did you?”

“No.”

“Why?”

“Because Dahlia’s letter was about Dahlia.”

There.

Then:

“When Renata asked about seeing Dahlia, I wanted to say never.”

“Did you?”

“No.”

“Why?”

“Because I’m angry, but Dahlia may feel differently later.”

Dana smiled slightly.

“Annoying?”

“Extremely.”

She signed the completion form.

No conviction after dismissal.

I kept attending private therapy anyway.

Not because court required.

Because Sofia had once told me I treated self-control like a reputation instead of a skill.

She had been right.

Late again.
