Attempted interference with custody/parental rights under applicable law.
Use or possession of another infant’s medical identifier.
Evidence manipulation.
Potential privacy-related offenses connected to the hospital band.
Exact labels depended on state statutes.
The factual case was stronger than any dramatic title.
Vivienne obtained another newborn’s discarded band.
Kept Matteo’s duplicate band.
Opened his bracelet.
Substituted the wrong identifier.
Planned a public event where the mismatch would be discovered.
Expected the resulting uncertainty to move the baby into Bianca’s care over Elena’s objection.
Then hospital liability questions.
How did Vivienne get Everett Hale’s discarded band?

No secret hospital conspiracy.
Housekeeping had moved the sealed disposal liner through a service corridor.
Vivienne entered the family lounge storage alcove while it sat unattended for minutes.
Camera did not capture the inside.
Later forensic testing found hospital adhesive residue and fibers from that disposal liner on the envelope where she stored the Everett band.
