Chapter 24 - CHELSEA AND ME

Chelsea and I did not become best friends.
We became sisters again slowly.
Coffee twice a year.
Children’s graduations.
Medical updates.
No shared finances.
She rebuilt her career outside Bennett Grove.
Event consulting.
Real clients.
No family trust billing.
She paid restitution over years.
One afternoon she said:
“I hated you because you left before I had courage to.”
I looked at her.
“That’s not my fault.”
“I know.”
“Do you?”
“Now.”
Good.
No hug required.
Then she said:
“I’m sorry about Dany.”
“That matters more.”
“I know.”
She eventually apologized to him as an adult.
He accepted.
