After divorce I kept Winslow professionally for three years.
Clients knew me that way.
Then I changed back.
Verity Vale.
Kipling remained Winslow.
No loyalty test.
He asked:

“Then okay.”
My landscape-design practice grew.
Maybe ironically.
I designed:
Parks.
Courtyards.
School grounds.
Healthcare gardens.
Not because Merehaven transformed me.
I had done that work before.
Later my firm competed for a small public-space contract inside the Alder Ridge development.
I recused myself from any trust influence.
Independent procurement.
We lost.
Good.
Three years later we won another project.
Fairly.
No dynasty magic.
Work.
I remarried at forty-six.
Daniel Brooks.
Urban planner.
No Winslow connection.
No trust connection.
He once asked me why family title documents needed so many pages.
I answered:
