At eighteen, Rosalie attended her first formal beneficiary education session.
She wore jeans.
First Meridian expected more ceremony.
Too bad.
The trustee explained:
“You do not own twenty-four percent of Vale Children’s Health.”
Rosalie nodded.
“Mom told me since I was twelve.”
“You hold beneficial interests in separate economic trusts. The protected stewardship block is different.”
“Can I fire CEO?”
“No.”
“Sell hospital?”
“No.”
“Buy helicopter?”
“No.”
“This family has oversold wealth.”
I laughed.
The twenty-four-percent Stellan branch had already begun a scheduled modernization review.
Maribel’s old twenty-four percent remained redistributed:
employees.
Patient families.
Independent mission fiduciary.
Stellan branch was now the only concentrated family-descendant portion.
Should it remain twenty-four forever?
Rosalie asked:
“Why?”
Exactly.
Gideon anticipated this.
His trust allowed reduction when independent governance matured.
