Chapter 10 - THE FIRST GRANDCHILD PLAN
The central plan connected every piece.
For three years, Evelyn and Brooke had diverted Bennett Family Foundation money through false maternal-health vendors.
The transfers funded Brooke’s condominium, Evelyn’s renovations, private travel, political donations, and losses from speculative investments.
They believed the foundation’s reputation would protect them.
Then Leo was born.
Daniel’s late father had designed the first-grandchild provision to prevent Evelyn from controlling the company and foundation indefinitely.
Leo’s birth activated:
An independent foundation audit.
Transfer of voting shares into Leo’s child trust.

Then she and Brooke moved into our home.
They isolated me, restricted food and water, sedated me, and interfered with breastfeeding so I would appear physically and emotionally unstable.
They photographed the condition they created.
They prepared synthetic psychiatric evidence.
They planned to provoke a crisis before Daniel returned.
When Leo developed a genuine urinary infection, they recognized an opportunity.
They withheld medical care.
A dangerously ill newborn would terrify Daniel.
A collapsed postpartum mother would appear incapable.
Daniel would sign emergency forms.
A private clinic would admit me under a false psychiatric narrative.
Brooke would assume temporary care of Leo.
Evelyn would petition for emergency authority over both the child trust and foundation audit.
During the seventy-two-hour dispute, their technician would migrate, alter, and delete financial records.
If Leo died, their media plan blamed an undetected illness and my supposed psychiatric collapse while the foundation gained public sympathy.
The evidence did not prove they caused the infection.
It proved they knowingly allowed it to worsen because his suffering strengthened their plan.
Daniel returned earlier than expected.
He saw Leo before Evelyn could stage the final argument.
I entered the nursery before Brooke could hide my injuries.
The cameras Daniel installed for ordinary infant safety preserved enough cached evidence to expose the scheme.
The “final evidence” was not one clip.

And Evelyn’s own recorded words.
Then he signs faster.
Federal prosecutors charged Evelyn and Brooke with wire fraud, theft from a charitable foundation, identity misuse, obstruction, witness tampering, healthcare-related fraud, and conspiracy.
State prosecutors charged them with unlawful imprisonment, child endangerment, assault, evidence tampering, and intentional delay of medical care.
The exact medical-harm charges required experts to determine how the delay affected Leo’s condition.
Evelyn was arrested leaving her attorney’s office.
Brooke surrendered the next morning.
As officers placed her in the vehicle, she looked toward the cameras and said:
“My mother told me the baby would be fine.”
