Richard stepped aside as executive chair pending review.
He called it temporary.

Some complied.

Rebecca pursued takedowns where possible.
The harder work happened at home.
Noah stopped sleeping.
He heard Ethan’s scream whenever the house settled at night.
He asked whether employees would lose jobs because of him.
Dr. Ellis answered directly.
“Jobs are at risk because adults stole money and concealed it. Your decision affected when the truth emerged, not whether the theft existed.”
“Could I have told police quietly?”
“Yes.”
“Would that have been better?”
“Probably safer.”
Noah looked at me.
I did not rescue him from the answer.
He needed accountability without blame for the crime.
“I wanted everyone to see Dad,” he said.
“That feeling makes sense,” I told him. “But public exposure can hurt people we do not see.”
He nodded.
Healing began with complexity, not applause.
Federal agents searched Ethan’s apartment and office.
They recovered burner phones, offshore access tokens, and a draft statement accusing me of managing Red Harbor.
The draft was dated before the wedding.
They also found a folder labeled NOAH CONTACT.
Inside were school schedules, photographs, and notes from supervised visits.
At first, the folder looked like evidence that Ethan cared.
Then investigators found a second section.
It tracked when Noah stayed at my house, when contractors entered, and when the home office floor repairs were scheduled.
Ethan knew the floor would be opened.
He had hired someone to retrieve the drive.
The person canceled after discovering Miguel Santos remained on-site with Noah.
A payment request connected the retrieval plan to Marcus Vale.
Marcus remained abroad.
The Cayman authorities froze accounts but did not immediately arrest him because treaty procedures required formal evidence packets.
During that delay, Graham Pike disappeared.
His lawyer said he was traveling to meet investigators.
His car was found at the airport.
No flight record showed departure.
A note inside the vehicle read:
ETHAN KEPT COPIES OF EVERYTHING.
Detective Ortiz believed Graham might be frightened.
Richard believed he had fled.
The truth arrived through a secure email sent to federal prosecutors.
Graham requested witness protection.
He claimed he could prove Marcus and Ethan were not the only executives who benefited.
