The appellate court narrowed the remedy.
Bianca remained barred from compensation connected to the specific commercial conversion plan she had participated in while pursuing Livia’s relocation.
But a lifetime prohibition on any conceivable future Bellaforte-related work was too broad without additional findings.
Good.
In theory, ten years later, if Moretti House bid fairly on an unrelated roof renovation and Bianca had no role in child residence decisions, the trust could consider it.
Would that happen?
Probably not.
But law should not be written from disgust.
Sterling accepted.
Bianca called it a victory publicly.
Technically partial.
Emotionally irrelevant.

Undisclosed conflict.
Manufactured behavioral evidence.
Attempted child displacement.
Interference with Rosalie’s reporting role.
Then Bianca gave an interview.
She said:
“I was trying to create a healthier home after years of grief.”
No mention of clippers.

No direct attack on Livia.
Her lawyer had likely advised.
I did not respond publicly.
Neither did Rosalie.
Livia did not know.
Good.
Then Bianca’s probation required accountability counseling.
I knew nothing private about it.
Did not need to.
Then her personal belongings left Bellaforte.
Clothing.
Furniture she owned.
Wedding gown.
Jewelry.
Family photographs.
No punitive withholding.
When movers removed the gown, Livia happened to see the garment bag.
“Wedding dress?”
“Yes.”
“Going?”
“Yes.”
“Good.”
Then she returned to coloring.
Children know when chapters are over before adults.

Limited event use could generate $650,000 to $900,000 annually with relatively modest intrusion if capped and separated from family wing.

Potentially useful.
Would event guests upset Livia?
Maybe.
Sterling asked Dr. Cole and me.
We piloted one charity dinner in the south garden.

It went fine.

She had been wrong to treat my child as an obstacle to maximize it.
That distinction became the lesson.
Then my company.
I had taken two weeks away after wedding disaster.

Reduced late-night events.
No dramatic retirement.
Livia needed a father, not a man permanently standing guard.
Then Rosalie asked for a meeting.
“I want Sterling to replace me as personal advocate when the twelve months end.”
I was surprised.
“Why?”
“I don’t want Livia growing up thinking my job is to watch you.”
That was wise.
“Elena chose you.”
“She chose me as a bridge, not an institution.”
Maybe.
Then:
“I also want to remain her Rosalie.”
Not monitor.
Not witness.
Person.
Sterling agreed to transition primary reporting to a professional child advocate after the activation period, leaving Rosalie as backup only if needed.
No power hoarding.
Then Livia learned this.
“Rosalie not trust person?”
“She was never a trust person exactly.”
“Boring again.”
“Yes.”
“Can she still braid hair?”
Rosalie smiled.
“If you ask.”
Good.
Then one evening I found Livia sitting in Elena’s library while an event planner measured the doorway for future charity dinners.
My body tightened.
She looked at me.
“Daddy?”
“Yes?”
“People measuring.”
“I know.”
“Am I leaving?”
There.
The old plan still lived in her.
I crouched.
“No. The room can be used sometimes without you leaving home.”
She stared.
“Promise?”
“As long as this is your home, nobody gets to turn business into a reason you have to leave.”
Better than forever.
She nodded.
Then:
“Can they move Mommy picture?”
“No.”
